The Eczema Ally

How Immune Intel AHCC® Supports Healthy Skin

Up to 30% of kids and 10% of adults are affected by eczema. It seems like just about everyone in my family, and many of my friends have dealt with eczema before— including myself. The itchy, tight skin is frustrating, uncomfortable and depending on where it’s popping up, can be really embarrassing too.

To make matters worse, the over-the-counter creams and lotions don’t do a damn thing. And the prescription steroid creams are not healthy for the body long term. This is why many people just end up living with painful eczema patches for years.

As someone who has dealt with her fair share of past skin issues— psoriasis, eczema and cystic acne— I’m here to tell you there is hope. And it doesn’t involve a prescription.

Years ago, as I was trying everything to get cystic acne under control, I heard a nugget of wisdom from a functional medicine doctor who specialized in gut health, and I never forgot it. She said, “Our skin is a billboard. It’s telling us the story of what’s going on inside the body.” Simple yet profound. I used that little nugget of wisdom to address my insides, go through some trial and error, and finally clear my cystic acne for good. But this sage advice doesn’t just apply to chronic acne…

Back to eczema.

Eczema, has been increasingly linked to gut health through the gut-skin axis, a concept suggesting that the gut microbiome (the community of microbes in the digestive system) influences the immune system and, consequently, skin health.

There are multiple factors that can negatively affect your skin billboard. Let’s look at a few:

  • Leaky Gut Syndrome: In people with eczema, the intestinal lining can become more permeable ("leaky gut"), allowing toxins, allergens, and partially digested food particles to enter the bloodstream. This can trigger an immune response, leading to inflammation that affects the skin, potentially causing or worsening eczema flare-ups.

  • Food Sensitivities: Eczema has been associated with food sensitivities and allergies, many of which are linked to gut health. Common food triggers like conventional (non-organic) dairy, gluten, and processed sugars can irritate the gut lining and provoke an inflammatory response in the skin. For some people with eczema, addressing food sensitivities and/or improving quality of food (going organic and avoiding pesticides like glyphosate) may reduce flare-ups.

  • Inflammation: Inflammation in the gut can lead to systemic inflammation, which manifests as skin problems, including eczema. Managing gut inflammation (through diet, probiotics, or anti-inflammatory practices) often helps reduce eczema symptoms.

  • Immune Dysregulation: A large portion of the body’s immune system resides in the gut. The interaction between gut bacteria and the immune system helps regulate inflammation. An unhealthy gut microbiome can lead to an overactive immune response, increasing the likelihood of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions like eczema. Th2 immune response, which is common in eczema, is influenced by gut health. Imbalances in gut bacteria may push the immune system toward this inflammatory response, promoting skin reactions.

My intention here is to highlight the fact that healing eczema can be multi-faceted— addressing diet, improving food quality and limiting processed foods and alcohol is a great start. Not only will it support healing eczema but this will also help prevent other lifestyle related chronic disease like diabetes and heart disease.

In the remaining paragraphs I want to focus on how to address the bottom two bullets— inflammation and immune dysregulation. If only there was a way to address both safely and quickly…

Enter: Immune Intel AHCC.

To prove my point right away, see photo below. This was sent to us recently from a customer whose 10 year old nephew was dealing with severe eczema that was taking over most of his body. OUCH! :(

After just two weeks of using Immune Intel AHCC® daily, this was little dude’s response! Mom was floored!

“What is this Immune Intel AHCC® stuff?!” We call it the Mushroom Unicorn!

More specifically it’s a supplement that comes from the mycelia (roots) of a few hybridized, very potent shiitake mushrooms. It’s been around since the 80’s and is classified as a health food, with a patent protected, very unique manufacturing process. It provides full body support to anyone with an immune system. (wink) That’s everyone.

Immune Intel AHCC® works to support the body in a myriad of ways. Two of the most important being decreasing systemic inflammation and regulating the immune system.

Wait, weren’t we just talking about that? Yes.

That’s why it’s effective for eczema, as well as other inflammatory and immune compromised skin conditions like Hidradenitis suppurativa, Molluscum contagiosum, chronic acne, random rashes and more.

Here’s another real life review from an overwhelmed mother who was desperate to find answers for her son. I kid you not, I had big ol’ crocodile tears in my eyes when I got this message. I will never stop singing from the rooftops about this incredible health food.

But Immune Intel AHCC® is not a skin supplement. It’s total body support (as you can see above). There are hundreds of studies showing great results supporting those with cancer, HPV, autoimmune disease, diabetes, liver disease and more.

If you or someone you love has been living with a chronic health issue like eczema or another mentioned here, and are tired of the trial-and-error of things that just don’t work, this is your sign to try Immune Intel AHCC®.

Don’t give up, you can heal. There is always hope!

XOXO,
Mimi.
